DIOCLETIAN, (A.D. 284-305), billon antoninianus, Siscia mint, issued 287, (3.788 grams), obv. IMP C C VAL DIOCLETIANVS P F AVG, radiate draped and cuirassed bust to right of Diocletian, rev. around IOVI CONSERVATORI, A to left, XXI in exergue, Jupiter standing to left, holding thunderbolt and sceptre, (cf.S.3515, RIC 270, C.259). Attractive brown patina, good extremely fine and very scarce.
