JULIA SOAEMIAS, mother of Elagabalus, (A.D. 218-222), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.078 grams), obv. draped bust of Julia Soaemias to right, around IVLIA SOAEMIAS AVG, rev. VENVS CAE L ESTIS Venus seated to left holding apple and sceptre, child before her, (S.2171, RIC 243, RSC 14, BMC 55-60). Good very fine and scarce.
