SYRIA, Kingdom of, Antiochus III, (223-187 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.800 grams), Series III, Seleucia on Tigris mint, issued 255-246 B.C., obv. diademed head of Antiochus I to right, rev. Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow and bow, on right, **BASILEWS and to left **ANTIOXOU, to left and right monograms, (cf.S.6933, cf.Newell ESM 243, cf.SNG Spaer 737). Nearly very fine, rare.
