IONIA, Ephesos, (280-258 B.C.), AE 13.5, (3.012 grams), obv. bee with open wings dividing E - **F, all within laurel wreath, rev. stag grazing to right, quiver above, below magistrate's name **SOLWN* (Solon), (cf.S.4406, BMC 84, SNG von Aulock 1842). Attractive deep green patination, very fine and a rare type.
