MACEDON, Kingdom of, Philip II, (359-336 B.C.), AE 17, uncertain Macedonian mints, obv. head of Apollo to right hair bound with tainia, rev. naked youth on horse prancing right, **FILIPPOU* above, A below, (cf.S.6696, SNG ANS 894, SNG Greece II (Alpha Bank) 374-5); another with spear head below, (SNG ANS 851, SNG Greece II 354-8); others (2), one with left lead of Apollo, another uncertain symbol below. Some with oxidation, second cleaned, very good - very fine. (4)
