THRACE, Kingdom of, Lysimachos, (323-281 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.082 grams), Lampsacus mint, issued 297/6- 282/1 B.C., obv. head of Alexander to right, with diadem and horn of Ammon, rev. Athena enthroned to left, supporting Nike, spear behind, herm to far left, monogram of **TEMG* to left, to right **BASILEW[S]*, to left **LUSIMAXOU*, (cf.S.6814, Muller 89, Thompson 55). Grey attractive tone, nearly extremely fine and rare.

Ex Antiquarius, New Zealand, list 35 No.13, June 1995. A coin with good style bust for Alexander with a fine eye looking forward.
