THRACE, Byzantion, (c.340-320 B.C.), silver half siglos (Persian standard), (2.526 grams), obv. cow standing to left, on dolphin to left, foreleg raised, above **PU, rev. quadripartite incuse square of mill-sail pattern, (S.1582, SNG BMC Black Sea 36-41 [fifth stater], SNG Stancomb 2 [half siglos], SNG Von Post 58 [hemidrachm]). Very fine and scarce.
