ITALY, Lucania, Velia, (c.290-280/275 B.C.), silver nomos, stater or didrachm, (7.344 grams), obv. head of Athena to left, wearing Attic helmet, IE behind, rev. lion pulling down stag, **[UELHTWN] ethnic off the flan, (cf.S.453, Williams Period IX, SNG Munich 896, SNG Cop. 1590). Small flan, nearly very fine.
