ITALY, Lucania, Metapontum, (c.400-350 B.C.), silver stater, (7.62 grams), obv. head of Apollo to right, laureate, with **[APOL] on neck base, rev. corn ear, MET[A] to right, stalk to left with owl alighting, (cf.S.410, Noe [NN&M 47, 1984] 464, SNG ANS 352 [same dies]). Good fine/fine and scarce.
