CELTIC, Danube Region, Imitation of Macedon coinage of the kingdom of Philip II, (359-336 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (12.022 grams), struck in Danube Region, issued c.3rd - 2nd century B.C., obv. head of Zeus laureate to right, rev. naked youth or female, on horseback to left, (cf.S.203, Lanz Collection 590 [p.107 same dies], Gobl, Ostkeltischer Typenatlas, No.296/4, Pl.25 [same dies]). Attractive grey tone, good fine/very fine and rare.
