JUSTINIAN I, (527-565), gold solidus, issue of 542-565, Constantinople mint, (4.33 grams), obv. helmeted and cuirassed bust facing, holding globe with cross and shield, around DN IVSTINI ANVS PP AVC, rev. Angel standing facing holding staff surmounted by P, and cross on globe, around VICTORI A AVCCCI, in exergue CONOB, star in right field, (S.140, cf.DOC 9j). Large flan, very fine.
