VALENTINIAN I (A.D. 364-375), gold solidus, Antioch mint, issued 364-367, Officina **D*, (4.278 grams), obv. pearl diademed, draped and cuirassed bust to right of Valentinian I around DN VALENTINI ANVS PF AVG, rev. Valentinian standing facing head to right, holding labarum and Victory, RESTITVTOR REIPVBLICAE around, cross in left field, *ANT**D**, in exergue, (cf.S.4088, RIC 2a). Light surface scratches, otherwise very fine and scarce.
