Syria, Seleucid kingdom of Antiochus Hierax, (246-227 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.8 grams), Alexandria Troas mint, obv. head of Antiochus Hierax to right, with winged diademed, rev. Apollo seated to left, on omphalos, holding arrow and resting on bow, to left **BASILEWS, to right AN TIOXOY, in exergue horse grazing to left, and two monograms, (S.6919 var., WSM 1570). Extremely fine and very rare.

Ex. Spink & Son, with its ticket, only three known specimens and all are from the same pair of dies, this example is as fine as the other specimens described by Newell.
