ANTONINUS PIUS, (A.D. 138-161), AE sestertius, (23.64 g), Rome mint, issued A.D. 159, obv. laureate head of Antoninus Pius to right, around ANTONINVS AVG PIVS PP TR P XXII, rev. Pius standing left, sacrificing over tripod, around VOTA SVSCEP DECENN III COS IIII, S C across field, (S.4262, RIC 1010, C.1124). Deep green and brown patina, mild surface pitting, otherwise good very fine or better with a strong portrait, scarce.
