TRAJAN, (A.D.117-138), gold aureus, Rome mint, issued 107, (7.10 g), obv. laureate head of Trajan to right, aegis and cloak on far shoulder, IMP TRAIANO AVG GER DAC P M TR P COS V P P, rev. oak wreath with S P Q R OPTIMO PRINCIPI, in three lines within, (cf.S.3105, cf.RIC 150, C.581). Very fine and very rare, an unpublished bust type for issue.
