TRIO: Military Cross (GVR); British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal. Lt W.O.Cooper Luckwood 23 August 1918 10-Bn A.I.F. on first medal, Lieut W.O.Cooper A.I.F. on second and third. First and third medal engraved, second medal impressed. Very fine.

William Osborne Cooper. Lieut 10th Battalion 4th Military District. M.C. L.G.: 31Jan1919 C.G.: No.67 3Jun1919. M.C.: 'Lt.W.O.Cooper, 10th Btn. For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. In clearing Luck Wood on 23rd August, 1918, he led his platoon against three enemy machine gun nests in succession, and, by his dash succeeded in overwhelming the enemy resistance before the remainder of his company got up.
