Group of five: 1939-45 Star; Pacific Star; British War Medal 1939-45; Australia Service Medal; Coronation Medal 1953. TX11916 R.H. Brown. Last medal unnamed others impressed. Brooch mounted for wear. Very fine.

Coronation Medal confirmed, awarded as Member of Tasmanian Legislative Council. Extract from Who's Who in Australia: Brown, Hon, Ronald Herbert, B.Com, A.F.I.A., M.L.C. for Huon Tas, since 1948. Son of Herbert Brown, Glen Huon Tas. born 29 Jan 15. Educated University of Tasmania. Teacher 1939-42, 1945-47. A.I.F. Sergeant in New Guinea and Solomon Islands 1942-45, wounded in action on Buin Road Bougainville 1945. Married Shirley Hungerford 10 Jan 40 (one son, two daughters.). Overseas representative, Australian Apple and Pear Corporation (London) from 1973, Member of the Milk Board of Tasmania 1967-73; Secretary-Manager of the Apple and Pear Growers Federation of Tasmania 1970-73. He died in 1981. Together with: set of miniatures, Army Hat & Collar badges, Sergeant's stripes, VDC woven badges and 3 shoulder patches.
