NEW SOUTH WALES, five shillings or holey dollar, 1813, struck on a Charles IIII, Mexico City Mint eight reales, 1797FM (Mira-Noble 1797/2, dies A/6 : I/2). 'MAR' scratched above the left hand side of the crown on the reverse, 'MAR' faintly on the obverse under GR of GRATIA, score marks at date and reverse rim knock at 11:30, otherwise cleaned and re-toning, good very fine and rare.

Ex Tom Hanley and John Webster Collections, ploughed up on a farm at Whittingham, NSW (near Singleton) in 1961 by B.Raven and purchased at that time by T.E.Hanley, then secretary of the Australian Numismatic Society.
