NEW SOUTH WALES, five shillings or holey dollar, 1813, (Mira-Noble unlisted, dies I/1- A/7) struck on a Charles IIII Mexico City Mint eight reales 1800 FM. Coin evenly worn, countermark worn on reverse as a result of dishing, obverse countermark clear and good fine, overall fine and very rare.

Held by a New Zealand family for three generations, ex Noble Numismatics Sale 52 (lot 1429), Sale 88 (lot 1442) the B.J.Hibbard Collection and Sale 93 (lot 1280).
