FRENCH EMPIRE SWORD, Second Empire (?), handle with nacre front and back, decorative hand guard, and cross guard with large Empire eagle all in gilt, thin triangular blade decorated with gilding on dark blue background, in sheath. The top of sheath worn and metal end with bend, nacre loose on one side, otherwise very fine.
