NIGERIA, Macgregor Laird, 1/8th penny or 1/400th dollar, 1858, farthing size token in copper (21mm), no smoke emitting from funnel (Die I) (V.7). With small piercing at 1 O'clock on the obverse, otherwise nearly very fine and rare, the rarest of the three die varieties.

Ex W.J. Noble Collection, Sale 61B (lot 1680) and previously from Spink in 1979 (8191).
