CEYLON, (Sri Lanka), Anonymous issue, pala or quarter Kahavanu, or quarter gold stater, 10th century A.D., (0.83, 0.52 grams), Codrington type II cruder style, "Deka or Pala Lakshmi" series, type I-II (M.827, 829, Cod. 13.II.a, p.59, Pl.III, 59, 67); together with AE 15x7, Kings of Ceylon, 2nd-4th century A.D. obv. goddess facing with standards, rev. symbol, (MJ.5052-3). Very fine, all scarce. (3)
