FRANCE, Exposition Universelle, Paris, 1867, in bronze (68mm) impressed in relief 'M.C.O'Connell'. FDC.

Ex Philip Kennedy Collection 1973 (lot M46). Maurice Charles O'Connell was the grandson of Governor William Bligh, President of the Queensland Legislative Council until 1879. He was knighted in 1868 when as Administrator of the Government he was host to the Duke of Edinburgh on his visit to Brisbane, 25 February 1868. Together with newspaper clipping references, Sydney Morning Herald July 1831, September 1935, also business card Dr John A Kennedy.
