WORLD WAR II., Prisoner of War, postcard, to Gordon Pickering, Officers Mess R.A.F. Wigtown Scotland, from F/O/ J.G.Stower, Stammlager Luft 13 (P.O.W. Camp), dated 30.9.43. 'Dear Pick, Thanks for all your letters you old bugger. I have learned of you though I trust you are O.K. ... I'vebeen a P.O.W. a bloody long time now, I'm a little fed up ... Be careful old lad, yrs Johnny'. Flying Officer J.G.Stower was shot after 'the Great Escape'. A highly emotive and very desirable piece of the Great Escape. With letter from RAF Museum dated 26.5.1998.
