U.S.A., State of Connecticut, certificate of debt No.12276, owing to a Mr. Abiel Chafee for services in the Continental Army £17.18.8 as balance due to him to be paid by June 1, 1789, signed by Treasurer, verso notes interest payments from 1783 to 1792, has been cut cancelled; other notes, Confederate States of America, ten dollars Feb., 17th 1864, (P.68); Virginia Treasury Note, issued at Richmond, July 1, 1862 for one dollar, (P.S3681b); other unissued notes for five dollars, Citizens Bank of Louisiana, (23 August 1860); one dollar The New England Commercial bank nd; one dollar, The Franklin Silk Company; and the Canal Bank, twenty dollars in New Orleans, nd. Very fine - extremely fine. (7)
