NEW SOUTH WALES, five shillings or holey dollar, 1813, struck from a Charles IIII Lima eight reales dated 1800 I.J (Mira-Noble 1800/1 dies B/5: II/3). Toned good very fine, the countermarks clear and nearly extremely fine, a most attractive example and very rare in this condition, one of the finest known Lima Mint holey dollars and in the top fifteen per cent of all known (approx 300) holey dollars.

Ex E. Wills and S.V. Hagley collections. It is believed Edward Wills of Sydney sold this specimen to Syd Hagley in the 1930/40s.
