LATE IMITATIVE OF KUSHAN, Kidara (c.A.D. 385-390), base gold dinar, (8.15 grams), obv. standing king facing with head to left, holding trident and right hand lowered over Kidara, legend around, rev. Goddess Ardoksho enthroned facing, (Gobl 616, cf.M.3620). Double struck on the reverse, otherwise nearly very fine and scarce.

This stylised type continued for another 800 years in the coinage of Kashmir until the advent of Muslim rule.
