BENGAL PRESIDENCY, Benares mint 1809 Coinage, in the name of Shah Alam II (A.H.1173-1221, A.D.1759-1806), with frozen Regnal Year 37, 1809 double pice, struck at Calcutta for Benares province, (Pr. 303, KM.26). Very fine and very rare.

Ex. Wodak Collection $$ The Pridmore collection only had a proof of this coin, and lacked the currency issue. The currency issues of this 1809 series are all very rare.
