BENGAL PRESIDENCY, Murshidabad Mint, 1793 Second Milled issue, Perpetual 19 san sicca series, Standard Silver Currency, in the name of Shah Alam II (A.H.1173-1221, A.D.1759-1806), silver rupee, Regnal Year 19 (fixed), with Privy mark for Murshidabad and with oblique milling to right, (Pr. 166, KM.SAC 774.2). Extremely fine with large broad flan, larger than the dies, attractive blue tone, rare.

Ex. Spink Australia Sale 1 (lot 63 part). $$ The only denomination traced to this mint, the Pridmore sale specimen appears to be the last noted specimen at auction.
