ATREBATIC/REGNAN, Uninscribed Coinage, Atrebatic B, (c.55-45 B.C.), gold quarter stater, (1.25 grams), obv. abstracted head of Apollo to right, spike ornamented with three pellet-in-ring motifs, rev. celticized triple-tailed horse to right, cog wheel below, (S.51, Mack 69 [THIS COIN], Van A. 228-1 [who notes as rare]). Very fine and very rare.

Bought Spink 1919 (15/-) and Ex. Mack Collection, Spink London sale 69 (lot 4).
