AUGUSTUS, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), silver denarius, Lugdunum mint, issued 2 B.C. - A.D. 4, obv. laureate head of Augustus to right, [CAESAR AVGVSTVS] DIVI F PATER PATRIAE around, rev. Caius and Lucius Caesars standing facing, shields and spears between them, above on left simpulum to right, and on the reverse lituus to left, around C L CAESARES AVGVSTI F COS DESIG PRINC IVVENT, (S.479, RIC 207, BMC 519). Off-centre on obverse, weak on obverse legend, very fine.
