REPUBLIC, M. Plaetorius M.f. Cestianus, (c.67B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, obv. winged bust of Vacuna, wearing crested helmet to right, quivber and bow on shoulder, cornucopiae below chin, CESTIANVS behind, S.C. before, rev. M. PLAETORIVS M, F, AED CVR around, eagle on thunderbolt with head to left, (S.292, Cr. 409/1, Syd. 809). Slightly off centred on the reverse, otherwise brilliant, good extremely fine and rare thus.
