VESPASIAN, (A.D. 69-79), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 69-79, obv. laureate head of Vespasian to right IMP CAESAR VESPASIANVS AVG around, rev. IVDAEA in exergue with Judaea seated to right at foot of trophy, (S.777, RIC 15, C.226). Nearly very fine and scarce.

The issue commemorates the victory by the Romans over the Jews in the First Revolt.
