CRETE, Gortyna, (2nd century B.C.), silver octobol, (4.65 grams), obv. laureate head of Zeus to right, countermarked with bull butting to right, rev. Europa seated on galloping bull to right, countermarked with head of Apollo to right, traces of legend below, (S.3184 for host coin, c/marks cf.S.3194). Bright, good fine and rare.
