NEW SOUTH WALES, five shillings or holey dollar, 1813, struck from a Potosi Mint eight reales of Charles IIII dated 1799 (Mira-Noble 1799/11 0- dies II/10 - B/11). Flan cracked, obverse condtermark worn before the coin was straightened from dishing (hence the crack) reverse countermark very clear. Fine/very fine and very rare.

Ex N. Langdon and L. Barton Collections, said to have been obtained from the collections of Sir Marcus Clarke and Alfred Chitty.
