GROUP OF EIGHT:- British War MEdal 1914-18; Victory Medal; British War Medal 1939-45; Australia Service Medal; Coronation Medal 1937; Permanent Forces Beyond The Seas Long Service and Good Conduct Medal (GVR); Meritorious Service Medal - Commonwealth of Australia (GVR); Army Best Shot Medal (GVR) - one bar - 1924, Capt/Maj W.C.G. Ruddock A.I.C./A.M.F. fifth medal unnamed, sixth and seventh engraved, others impressed. Mounted for wear. Very fine.

Captain Ruddock was 21/C 40th Bn A.I.F. (A Tasmanian Unit). Award of the King's Medal was the first to an Australian. The competition was carried out at Williamstown rifle range on 23 & 24 May 1924. He is also the only Tasmanian to be awarded this medal. In 1937 he commanded the Tasmanian Coronation Contingent.
