PHILIP I, (A.D. 244-249), AE sestertius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 244-249, (18.15 grams), obv. laureate bust of Philip I to right draped and cuirassed, around IMP M IVL PHILIPPVS AVG, rev. around FIDES EXERCITVS, S C in exergue, Fides standing to left holding sceptre and transverse standard, (S.2594, cf.RIC 173a, C.59). Off centred on reverse, otherwise fine/good fine.

A variant to the RIC description with tranverse standard and not tranverse sceptre.
