PALESTINE, Judaea, Second Revolt or Bar Cochba War, (A.D. 132-135), medium bronze, AE 24, (9.075 grams), Third Coinage, undated attributed to year 3 = A.D. 134-5, obv. vine leaf, around Hebrew legend = 'For the Freedom of Jerusalem', rev. seven branch palm tree with legend in Hebrew 'Shim`on', (S.5687, Mildenberg 102 [these dies obv. 8, rev. 66],, Mesh. 73, BMC 72). Attractive well struck example, nearly extremely fine and scarce.
