SYRIA, Kingdom of, Antiochus IV, (175-164 B.C.), AE 32, (38.17 grams), Antioch mint, obv. laureate head of Zeus-Serapis to right, rev. eagle to right with closed wings, standing on thunderbolt, to right **BASILEWS ANTIOCOU, to left ** QEOU and **EPIFANOUS, (S.6985, ACNAC Houghton 119-120, SMA 60). Attractive dark tone, very fine and rare.
