ITALY, Lucania, Poseidonia, (480-400 B.C.), silver stater or didrachm (7.48 grams), obv. Poseidon naked except for chlamys over shoulder, advancing to right, brandishing trident to right, behind **D, **[POSEIDWN], rev. bull standing to left, legend above **[POSEIDAN], (cf.S.424, SNG ANS 670-671 [same dies about the same condition]). Fine and rare.
