ITALY, Lucania, Metapontum, (c.340-335 B.C.), silver stater or didrachm, (7.64 grams), obv. bearded Corinthian helmeted head of Leukippos to right, behind bunch of grapes, rev. ear of corn, to right META downwards, to left [poppy sead] off flan over leaf, [A]MI below, (cf.S.415, Johnston [NN&M 164] Class A, 4.3, SNG Oxford 738). Good fine and scarce.
