ITALY, Lucania, Metapontum, (c.400-350 B.C.), silver stater, (7.47 grams), obv. head of female to left, the hair is held bound by a net, rev. corn ear, **METAP to left, stalk to right, [ivy leaf] above stalk, (cf.S.409, Noe [NN&M 47, 1984] 519, Pozzi Colln. 179 [same dies]). Nearly very fine/fine and rare.
