ITALY, Campania, Neapolis (Naples), (c.340-240 B.C.), silver stater or didrachm, (7.17 grams), obv. head of nymph to right, cornucopiae behind, rev. bull walking to right, crowned by Nike flying right above, below **P, below exergue **NEOPOL[ITWN], (cf.S.307, Sambon 474, SNG ANS 366, SNG Cop. 432 [same dies]). Struck on a dumpy flan, off centred on the reverse, otherwise nearly very fine and a rare symbol.
