GORDIAN III, (A.D. 238-244), AE Sestertius, issued 238-240, Rome mint, obv. laureate bust to right of Gordian III, draped and cuirassed, around IMP CAES M ANT GORDIANVS AVG, rev. Fides standing to left, holding standard and sceptre, around FIDES MILITVM, S C across, (RIC 254a, C.88, S.2485). Very fine.
