PARTHIA, Kingdom of, Phraates III (70-57 B.C.), silver drachm, (3.42 grams), Mithradatkart mint, obv. medium size bare-headed bust to left with long beard, wearing diadem, rev. archer seated right on throne, six line inscription, MIT monogram in field, (cf.S.7402, Sellwood 38.6, Shore 172). Surface porosity, otherwise nearly very fine and rare.
