MACEDON, kingdom of Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.22 grams), Babelon mint, issued 325-323 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin, in dotted border, rev. Zeus seated to left on throne to left with eagle in outstretched hand, to left wreath, below monogram, to right ALEXANDROU and M below, (cf.S.6713, cf.Price 3655). Nearly very fine.
