ITALY, Lucania, Metapontum, (c.335-330 B.C.), silver stater, (7.6 grams), obv. bearded Corinthian helmeted head of Leukippos to right, lion head behind, rev. ear of corn, to right META, to left club erect over leaf, [A]MI below, (S.415, Johnston [NN&M 164] Class B.2, cf.SNG Ash.728). Small dumpy flan, obverse porosity, otherwise fine/nearly very fine and scarce.
