ITALY, Lucania, Metapontum, (c.400-350 B.C.), silver stater, (7.4 grams), obv. head of female (Kore) to right, the hair is held by a figured sphendone, rev. corn ear, META to left and right, (cf.S.409, Noe [NN&M 47, 1984] 447, SNG ANS 340 [same dies]). Light porosity on the reverse, otherwise very fine and rare.
