ITALY, Calabria, Taras, (281-272 B.C.), silver stater, (7.74 grams), obv. warrior dismounting with shield from galloping horse, below weakly struck NIK**WTTAS* EY in right field, rev Taras astride a dolphin to right, holding a javelin, hippocamp below, TAPAS above, IOP to left, (cf.S.364, Vl.700, SNG ANS 1075). Worn dies, good very fine.
