OPENING OF THE CRYSTAL PALQACE, Sydenham, 1854, in white metal (41mm) by Pinches, London, overse female figure holding caduceus and key opening the doors of INDUSTRY and SCIENCE to the exhibition, a lamb to left and Corinthian helmet to right, reverse a view of the Exhibition building, in exergue, opened MDCCCLIV, contained within a brass box in a leather case, brass box inscribed Pinches & Co. Medallists/By/Appointment/Crystal/Palace/Sydenham. Extremely fine.
